Teddy

My thoughts on Senator Kennedy’s passing are here

Please read that before reading my thoughts on his legacy below…

My thoughts on Senator Kennedy’s legacy are many. Personally, I believe that the Communists killed his anti-Communist brother JFK, so that LBJ could move this country in a Socialist/Communist direction. I believe that the Communists also used Arab assassins to kill Teddy’s brother Bobby, and to attack this country on September 11, 2001.

I believe Teddy was a coward who left a woman to die in a car submerged in only 8 feet of water.

I believe Teddy was a coward who decided that rather than fight the Communists, he would join them.

And for decades he championed the Socialist/Communist agenda.

Our country is better off without his vote in the Senate.

And my thanks go out to Mitt Romney for being the MA Governor in 2004, so that Kennedy pushed to change MA law so that a special election (not an appointment by a Republican Governor) would fill John Kerry’s Senate seat should Kerry have won the 2004 Presidential election.

That law change means that the people of Massachusetts, who are hopefully fed up with what the Democratic Socialists have done to their state and this country, will have a chance to fill Teddy’s seat with a conservative Republican. That would break the Democratic Socialists’ number of 60 votes in the senate, but I feel confident that the RINO ladies from Maine will be all to happy to help break filibusters.

Anyway, as to Teddy’s legacy, let’s see what people have been Googling…

If we want to memorialize someone for their stand on healthcare, let’s memorialize Ronald Reagan for what he said nearly five (5) decades ago!

Some are calling Teddy the “Lion of the Senate”.
“Lion of the Senate”???
Cowardly lion, maybe.

UPDATE September 8, 2010: From Hillbuzz:

Did you know Ted Kennedy tried — twice — to plot with Soviets against TWO separate US Presidents?

Isn’t this treason?

Plotting with foreign agents against the United States of America’s best interests?

The London Times, in 1992, broke the story of Kennedy wanting to take down Reagan’s re-election bid…but the American state media ignored this.  And they refuse to report on this to this day.

Ted Kennedy is a patron saint in the Cult of Liberalism…and it is against the JournoList and CabaList code to write a negative word about him…or his Aaron Burr-esque plots against the country and TWO SITTING PRESIDENTS.

  1. Very interesting…

The following reconstruction, developed from general descriptions of the scene, numerous eyewitness interviews, investigative reports, and Kennedy’s statements that have been published in newspapers and magazines, explains why events unfolded as they did.

This approach demonstrates conclusively that the only hypothesis that fits the overall picture is that there were three people in the car. This theory has been mentioned in the media from time to time. For instance, Herb Caen, a well-known columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, noted in his column of July 9, 1981, that locals have come to believe that this was the case. In a step-by-step process, however, this reconstruction shows for the first time exactly how such a theory is the only credible explanation.

I think it makes sense. Especially since Mary Jo did not have her purse with her and the purse found in the car belonged to one of the other young ladies.

    Good evening RP,
I agree if we wish to Memorialize someone on health care it should be President Reagan. I was only 11 yrs old when this happened to Mary Jo, at the hands of a coward or maybe worse, my biggest concern at that time though was riding my bike, fishing at the lake and slumber parties. But I do remember my parents talking about it.
I read a comment that I found to be very apropos that when Kennedy stands be for God ” he’s got some splainin to do.”
I know there was a lot of political weight being thrown around to get him off, with just a slap on the wrist. That seems to be the way of things with the Kennedys Imo, always another coverup even for there children. But then the same could be said of many other politicians, unfortunately.

  3. Trevor Hilton says:

I’m sorry Teddy died. I hope he went to Heaven.

But, I feel Mary Jo Kopechne finally got the justice she was denied in life.

  4. On the topic of cowards versus real men, this is significant news:

Recall that the heart of Mapes’ story was that Bush was a coward who didn’t want to face combat. In the context of the 2004 election, the importance of this attack cannot be underestimated. Bush had put the country into two shooting wars, one popular (Afghanistan) and one decidedly not by 2004 (Iraq). Even though the previous Democratic president had been a flat-out draft dodger and the Democratic contender was battling a reputation as a medal-polisher and backstabber from a collection of his former colleagues in the Navy, substantiation of Mapes’ allegation would have proven fatal to Bush’s re-election.

Volunteering for combat, however, contradicts that entirely. Everyone understood that Bush didn’t want to go into the infantry, but then again, neither had John Kerry. Both volunteered to serve in other capacities. Bush asked to go to Vietnam, and except for his inexperience, would have been sent into combat. Mapes knew this — and pursued the allegations of cowardice anyway.

That goes beyond being hoaxed by Bill Burkett and the mythical “Lucy Ramirez” and running a story with no corroboration. It indicts Mapes and by extension Rather (who apparently couldn’t be bothered to check on the documents or story on his own) in a plot to deliberately conduct a character assassination from a broadcast booth, in an explicit attempt to manipulate an election.

The Democratic Socialist Communists are domestic enemies of our Constitution, and they will stop at nothing, including deliberate lying to manipulate a Presidential election, in an attempt to accomplish their “progressive” agenda.

This is treason, and should be dealt with as such.

Media malpractice did succeed in manipulating the 2008 Presidential election.

  5. Wikipedia has the following info, with references:

Sen. Kennedy’s wife Joan Bennett Kennedy was pregnant at the time of the incident. Though confined to bed in the wake of two previous miscarriages, she attended the funeral of Kopechne and stood beside her husband in court three days later.[37] She suffered a third miscarriage shortly thereafter[38] which she blamed on the Chappaquiddick incident.[39]

It appears that Teddy Kennedy and John Edwards showed a similar lack of appreciation and respect for their wives, and when “living on the edge”, unexpected things can happen. It’s not a “curse”, it’s the consequences of their own choices.

  6. “So with the death of Ted Kennedy last night, liberalism in this country has lost its champion; the person who, in the modern era, personified liberalism to a greater degree than anyone in Congress; I think that his death heralds the beginning of a very, very very dark period in this country.

I remember feeling that way in 1963 and in 1968-when his two brothers were murdered by the right wing in this country.”

First, Teddy’s brothers weren’t murdered by the right wing, they were murdered by the Communists. And Teddy chose to join them rather than fight them.

Second, Teddy was the “champion” of “liberalism” (a.k.a Socialism, a.k.a Communism).

He was “the person who, in the modern era, personified liberalism to a greater degree than anyone in Congress”.

    Well, then…

Simply compare their champion to our champion.

    Kennedy vs. Reagan

    Need I say more.

I think there was as much diferrence between JFK and T. kennedy as there was between Cain and Abel. One was a womanizer (it takes to to tango) the other a woman k—–. One was a man who stood up to the USSR, the other who ran home and hid under the bed.

  10. President John Kennedy fought Communism.

His little brother, Teddy, fought for Communism.

After repeated attempts, Judicial Watch has managed to pry loose certain documents relating to Teddy Kennedy from the FBI.

The FBI’s original redactions plainly had nothing to do with national security, so the agency apparently was trying to protect Kennedy’s reputation.

The most entertaining documents relate to a trip Kennedy took to Latin America in 1961. He visited a number of countries, accompanied by his “political counselor.” In each country, Kennedy met with prominent Communists or other left-wing leaders. The U.S. Ambassador to Mexico was outraged that Kennedy wanted to bring such people to the embassy–this was the heart of the Cold War, after all–and he refused, telling Kennedy to arrange his own interviews somewhere else…

In Colombia, the first person Kennedy wanted to meet with was Lauchlin Currie, a Russian spy who served as a key aide to Franklin Roosevelt, then moved to Colombia and renounced his American citizenship.

By the time he got to Chile, Kennedy apparently was tired of political work, so he “made arrangements to ‘rent’ a brothel for an entire night” in Santiago…

The year after his Latin American tour, Kennedy entered the United States Senate. It is quite remarkable: the Kennedy that emerges from the FBI reports sounds like a right-winger’s cartoon fantasy of the man. However bad you thought Ted Kennedy was, he was worse!

Senator Joe McCarthy wasn’t wrong. From the Venona papers to this, he has been proven right over and over again.

It’s time to get the Communists out of our government.
