Evan Sayet provides a very interesting perspective and explanation of the Liberal mind

Comedian Evan Sayet provides a very interesting perspective and explanation of the modern Liberal mind:

By the way, it includes a reference to Orwell, and yesterday was the 60th anniversary of the publication of George Orwell’s 1984.

  3. Jax says:

“Liberals said that America deserved it” … what a load.

Now, here’s what you’re going to do, Red. You’re going to push a bunch of quotes from left wingers like Ward Churchill about how bad America is and blah blah blah. Those people are from the far, far, FAR left wing, and if you want to paint us all with the same brush, I’m going to have to ask you to take responsibility for shooting that abortion doctor a couple of weeks back.

  4. …I’m going to have to ask you to take responsibility for shooting that abortion doctor a couple of weeks back.

Too late… a family member of mine already basically said that, in so many words, by forwrding the following email to me:

    Subject: Defending (and Inciting) Violence

Dear People for the American Way Supporter,

Extreme, overheated rhetoric can have dangerous consequences.

By now, you may have heard or read that last Sunday, Dr. George Tiller, a physician who has been targeted for years for his willingness to provide abortion procedures often in the most difficult circumstances, was assassinated in his church in Kansas.

Freedom of speech is one of our most cherished constitutional values and rights — and should always be protected. But just because speech might be constitutionally protected does not make it right or decent.

There can be little doubt that the irresponsible, inflammatory, dehumanizing and violent speech of some around the abortion debate — much of it targeted at Dr. Tiller himself — contributed to this tragedy. The reaction to the assassination by some of these same people has been pretty shocking.

Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry said Tiller “reaped what he sowed.”

Ann Coulter basically equated a woman’s decision to have an abortion with a would-be assassin’s decision to kill an abortion doctor.

And Wiley Drake, a former vice president of Southern Baptist Convention who last year was Alan Keyes’ running mate, called Tiller’s death “an answer to prayer.” Drake then unabashedly told FOX broadcaster Alan Colmes on his radio show that he prays for the death of President Obama!

Dr. Tiller’s death is a sad reminder that stoking the flames of hate has serious ramifications, yet the Radical Right is seemingly doing everything it can to continue the extreme demonization of its opponents, even suggesting violence with the use of images.

In the wake of Tiller’s death, a Religious Right group calling itself Answers in Genesis has a billboard up in Texas and a TV ad comparing Atheism to murder. And the FOX Nation web site actually featured side-by-side articles with images that appear to have firearms aimed at the heads of progressive leaders who also happen to be African American. The absolute best that can be said of this is that FOX Nation is guilty of sloppy and irresponsible negligence.

It’s incredibly important that we all stay vigilant in exposing the fear mongering and hate that drive people inclined towards violence to take action. PFAW’s RightWingWatch.org blog is one such place for activists like you to stay informed. Please visit the blog often, sign up for regular “Best of the Blog” updates and help spread the word about this resource.

Thank you for all you do.

P.S. On a far more positive note, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch on Thursday signed into law legislation that makes New Hampshire the sixth state in which same-sex couples now enjoy legal marriage equality. This is a tremendous step in the fight to make sure ALL of our LGBT Americans have equal protection under the law. A special thanks to all PFAW members and activists in New Hampshire who took action in the effort to pass these bills (New Hampshire folks, please consider calling your legislators to thank them as well as Gov. Lynch).

That email is disgusting and predictable at the same time.
Michelle Malkin and many of us saw this coming:

Prepare for collective demonization of pro-lifers and Christians

“People for the American Way” doesn’t seem to care much about the American soldiers who were shot (and Pvt. Long killed) the very next day.

If they accuse the right of inciting violence in the Tiller murder, why don’t they accuse the left of inciting violence in the Long murder?

    I know the answer.

  5. The first video mentioned how there are more conservatives in Hollywood than you would realize, but most remain silent because speaking out means getting put on a very real “Gray List”.

Thank God that John Voight is not afraid to speak his mind:

At the point in the video where Jon Voight says Michelle Malkin’s name (around the 9:35 mark), the gentleman in the center of the crowd shot is former Congressman Bob McEwen.

His videos are well worth watching.

  7. Jax says:

So, if I understand your argument, it is OK for you to paint all people on the left as extremists because there are some left-wing radicals… because it is wrong when people on the left do the same thing?

This is why you annoy moderates. Keep it up though, it’s working out great for us Democrats.

  8. So, if I understand your argument,

    You don’t.

it is OK for you to paint all people on the left as extremists because there are some left-wing radicals… because it is wrong when people on the left do the same thing?

If you listen to what Evan Sayet said, (which I agree with), he said that it’s not all Democrats, but it is the dominant thought process of today’s Democratic Party.

The modern Liberals who control the Democratic [Socialist] Party are truly godless, and believe that there is no such thing as absolute truth. Oh, they may pretend to be religious, and may even quote a passage they claim is from the Bible…even when it’s NOT.

This is why you annoy moderates. Keep it up though, it’s working out great for us Democrats.

Yeah, that’s why Democrats are losing ground to Republicans in poll after poll.

  9. The most important business in this Nation–or any other nation, for that matter-is raising and training children. If those children have the proper environment at home, and educationally, very, very few of them ever turn out wrong. I don’t think we put enough stress on the necessity of implanting in the child’s mind the moral code under which we live.

The fundamental basis of this Nation’s law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings which we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul. I don’t think we emphasize that enough these days.

If we don’t have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.

    President Harry S. Truman

It is precisely because we have gotten away from teaching children the moral code under which we live that we now have whole generations that don’t believe in “right” or “wrong”.

Do Evan Sayet’s videos make even more sense now, in light of that understanding?

  10. Jax says:

Considering Republicans have held the presidency for 36 out of the 57 years that Truman has been out of office (I’m a Truman fan myself, by the way) I’d say we lost our moral bearings under your watch, Red.

And when you’re quoting polls at me, you forgot this one. By the by, weren’t you the one floating a AOL Straw Poll days before the election claiming that the mainstream media was holding back evidence of a 49-state McCain electoral sweep?

  11. Considering Republicans have held the presidency for 36 out of the 57 years that Truman has been out of office (I’m a Truman fan myself, by the way)

    1) I’m glad you’re a Truman fan. Truman is an example of the kind Democrat that I could vote for. Same for Zell Miller. Same for Larry McDonald.

    2) You’ve stated that Republicans have controlled the Executive branch for 36 out of the last 57 years. Now tell me how many out those 57 years have Republicans controlled the Legislative branch.

I’d say we lost our moral bearings under your watch, Red.

Eisenhower added “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance.

LBJ is the one responsible for an unconstitutional amendment to an IRS bill – an amendment which effectively removed the God-given and first-amendment-protected inalienable right to the liberty of free speech.

LBJ’s actions, as well as liberal Supreme Court rulings that removed prayer and the ten commandments from schools and other places, has resulted in entire generations that have no moral foundation. This is leading directly to totalitarian government, as Truman warned.

    De-moral-ization Leads to Totalitarianism

After the abject failure and “malaise” of the Carter years, (which Obama is doing his best to re-create), Reagan reminded us of America’s greatness and exceptionalism, and the foundation of that greatness.

And when you’re quoting polls at me, you forgot this one.

You mean the one that shows that Obama’s approval rating peaked on his second full day in office?

By the by, weren’t you the one floating a AOL Straw Poll days before the election claiming that the mainstream media was holding back evidence of a 49-state McCain electoral sweep?

I will concede that the AOL Straw Polls reflect only those people who consciously choose to go vote in those polls. As such, it is fair to question their accuracy in a wider audience.

Rassmussen, though, was the most accurate pollster of the 2008 election.
