Obama Says U.S. Could Be Considered a Muslim Country

In an interview with a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

That sounds like a fact that needs to be added to A Different “9/11 Truth”.

Keep in mind that Mr. Obama studied the Koran in the largest Muslim country in the world (Indonesia), and then allowed his book to be published in Indonesia with the title “Assault Hope: From Jakarta to the White House”.

Also note that the article ends:

The president is flying Air Force One directly from Washington to Riyadh [Saudi Arabia]. The White House press corps — traveling on a chartered United 767 — is refueling in Hahn, Germany.

And then consider that the press usually travels with the President on Air Force One.  So, why put the press on a different plane, and force them to refuel in Germany, instead of having them travel with the President?

Could it be that the President wants some time alone with the Saudis, before the press corps arrives?  Could it be that the man who declared with his own mouth, in perfect Arabic, the words (translated to English):

Allah is the greatest!
I bear witness that there is no god except Allah.
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

…now wants to kneel towards Mecca and pray that prayer with the Saudis?

REMINDER: “This Is A Christian Nation

UPDATE: Back in June of 2006, Obama said,

“Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation – at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.”

Obama’s ‘Christian Nation’

Compare and Contrast

UPDATE: The nation we live in now is one where a Christian terrorist shoots one person on Sunday and the media broadcasts that the shooter is both “Christian” and a “terrorist”, but when the very next day (Monday) a Muslim terrorist shoots two people, most of the media won’t say either the word “Muslim” or “terrorist”. The double-standard is proably the clearest indication of anti-Christian, pro-Islam media bias that I have ever seen.

And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslims Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.

Indonesia: 200 million Muslims.
India: 156 million Muslims.
Pakistan: 150 million Muslims.
United States: 2.3 million Muslims.

  1. Jax says:

    No, no it couldn’t.

  2. So Jax, why isn’t the press corps flying on Air Force One, as they usually would?

  3. Math says:

Who knows? What makes you think it is for the reason you mention? Do you something we don’t?

  4. Jax says:

Well, as I showed you, the Irish president herself said he was born in Ireland, so I would guess he’s using the time to get lit on Jamesons and practice his fiddlin’.

He’s a secret Catholic, you know.

  5. Bobophobe says:

    For those who can read, even the French press is astounded and make it a headline;

Now, I doubt the US have to fear terrorists attacks ever again: who needs them when you’ve got such a dhimmi working for islamization as the US president?

  6. Jax says:

I know I love it when I can astound my coffee-making appliances.

  7. Math says:

Bobo: unfortunately for you, I do read and speak French, probably better than you can since it’s my native language.

To say that the article denotes astonishment is a gross exaggeration, and borderline dishonest. I’ll grant you the title is sensationalistic and has little to do with the contents. However, the article itself is a very neutral report on what he said, with the context of his reconciliation efforts with Muslim nations. They also include the rest of the quote, which makes it clear that he means it as a statistic (total number of Muslims), and not as a ideological statement like we’re used to seeing here (“USA is a Christian nation”).

Like one of the French commenters pointed out, Barack Obama’s biggest problem right now is that he overestimates the intelligence of the people he’s addressing. In politics, you have to think about the lowest common denominator (which seemed to come naturally to your previous President, for some reason)

  8. Bobophobe says:

The only passport I own is a French one, but I have to admit that your “know it all” and arrogant behavior makes it easier to identify you as a French man than me (vous ne devriez pas la ramener sans savoir à qui vous avez affaire).
May be I could not quite express myself as I should have, as I my English is very poor. However, and as you noted it yourself, the only thing I wanted to point out, is that they make it a title. That, my dear ‘compatriote’, is in essence a way to mark astonishment on that particular point. Why would they choose this as a title otherwise?

I agree with you on one point, Chirac was really a dick.

  9. Jax says:

    From CNN:

” Meanwhile, authorities were trying to determine how Muhammad allegedly morphed from an American teenager into a would-be terrorist.

Muhammad, 23, of Little Rock was born Carlos Bledsoe. The Muslim convert had filed a petition in court April 23 asking to change his name “for religious reasons” to Abdulhakim Bledsoe, but that petition has not received court approval yet.

He is charged with one count of capital murder in Monday’s shooting death of Pvt. William Long, 23, of Conway, Arkansas, along with 16 counts of engaging in a terrorist act — counts stemming from shots fired at an occupied building.”

    From the Associated Press:

“A Muslim convert accused of killing a soldier outside a recruiting center may have been considering other targets including Jewish and Christian sites — and had the firepower to carry out more attacks, according to law enforcement officials.

    From the New York Times:

“Mr. Muhammad has been charged with one count of capital murder and 15 counts of terroristic acts in Monday’s shooting, in a parking lot outside the recruiting office. … The Little Rock police said he apparently changed his name around the time he converted to Islam, possibly as a teenager living in Tennessee.

I defy you to find me a reputable news source that held back the fact that the shooter was being held on terrorism charges or that he was a Muslim. These were the first three results that came up on a simple Google news search.

It helps not to just copy and paste whatever Michelle Malkin tells you.

  10. Jax,
Your comment is a good one, and would be even stronger with actual links to the articles, so in the interest of being a man of integrity, I looked those up and will actually provide the links here:

  11. Obama immediately “shocked and outraged” over one murder,
and only belatedly “saddened over another.

  12. Jax says:

    “Pakistan: 150 million Muslims.”

Exactly. And if we are going to exterminate Al Qaeda, we are going to need help from some of those Muslims. Thus diplomacy.

But hey, you’re saying we should keep doing it your way, right? Put biblical quotes on Defense Department briefings, divert forces to Iraq, allow Al Qaeda to rebuild its forces until it becomes a military threat to the government of Pakistan, which is, by the way, a nuclear power???

Sure, Red. Worked like gangbusters so far, hasn’t it?

  13. We didn’t see any mushroom clouds over U.S. cities under President Bush.

I’m not so sure we’ll be able to say the same about Obama when all is said and done.

  14. Jax says:

I respect that you’re not sure, but I take solace in the fact that every prediction you have ever made has been wrong.

  15. Math says:

Bobo: unfortunately, I am not your compatriote. I’m more like a cousin… Je suis désolé d’avoir assumé que tu étais comme certains ici (rouge entre autres) et que tu avais simplement copié-collé une citation sans vraiment la comprendre.

But I disagree with your conclusion that an article’s title is a sign of astonishment. Like most (every) newspaper, they used a shock phrase that had little to do with the actual content of the article to get people to click and read the article. I am sure you will agree that there is no astonishment whatsoever in the actual article however.

  16. Bobophobe says:

Apologies accepted. Obviously, we will not agree on how unusual it is to see such a title in a well known French paper.
Concerning the astonishment thinggy, Rioufol, a journalist also working for “Le Figaro”, does not see it any different than I(1). I agree the other article is neutral, and apart from its title, has nothing that express astonishment. Still, knowing French press, I think this title is weird and full of meaning.

  17. Paul says:

“And how can this be? For Obama is the Kwisatz Haderach!”

Actually what he wants to convince the Muslim world is that he is “Al Mahdi”.

And many are being convinced of just that.

  18. This is not the first time that Obama has said that the U.S. could be considered a “Muslim nation” and that we are “No longer a Christian nation”.
