Why Democrats Can’t Complain About the Tea Parties

Their “Dear Leader” said:

But my journey is part of a larger journey – one shared by all who’ve ever sought to apply the values of their faith to our society. It’s a journey that takes us back to our nation’s founding, when none other than a UCC church inspired the Boston Tea Party and helped bring an Empire to its knees.

Barack Hussein Obama

Except our Tea Parties are not a “shared journey” with Obama (i.e., we are not “fellow travellers” on his Marxist journey) because we are not trying to “bring an Empire to its knees”.  We are trying to bring our nation back to its foundation: the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

The American Revolution was never about bringing the British Empire to its knees.  It was about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.  It was about Freedom, and Independence from a tyrannical government.  It was about establishing a government of the people, by the people, and for the people – to protect their God-given (“endowed by their Creator”) inalienable rights.

You know who does talk about bringing an “Empire” to its knees?

Bill Ayers and the Communist Party USA, who view capitalism and the U.S. as “imperialism”.

Communist Party USA:

With Marxism-Leninism guiding our actions, the Communist Party strives to build the broadest unity against global capitalist imperialism now headed by U.S. imperialism, for immediate gains and reforms that benefit working people, and for a progressive democratization of the government, the economy, and society of our country on the road to and after winning socialism.

Bill Ayers on September 10, 2008:

“The end of an empire is messy at best….

and this one is ending like all the rest.” Randy Newman

Ayers “dancing” on an American flag, saying, “Guilty as hell, free as a bird, it’s a great country.” Yet, he seems intent on bringing this great country to an end.

End of an Empire?

Not if I can help it!

Update: While the title of this post may make it seem that the Tea Parties are partisan, they are not.  Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Republicans, and more are all unified in their disgust of politicians (all politicians) who have disregarded the Constitutional limits on government and driven us down The Road to Socialism USA.

    Mr Pill,

I’m struggling to understand the relationship between these Tea Parties and the Boston Tea Party. How does “no taxation without representation” relate to whatever the point of these protests are?

Are you protesting against tax cuts for 95% of Americans?

  2. Ichabod says:

    Frin,
Do you need more Cool-Aid to wash Obama’s DNA goo down with? Only an IDIOT would think that an additional $16.00 a week is a tax cut.
How about we cut foreign aid, stop bailing everybody else out, stop spending money on NATO, and stop sticking our nose in everybody else’s business. Then we can ALL get a tax-break!
Wipe off your chin, looks like you have some Obamagoo there.

  3. Sergeant Malone says:

It never ceases to amaze the living daylights out of me how morons like Frin, and to date, according to my sources, there are over 66 million Obama voters who fit Frin’s description, without fail refuses to wake up and smell the roses. A glimmer of hope prevails however There are over 56 million sane Americans who did NOT vote for ‘the annoited one’. That number thank God is swelling with defectors who, in less than 100 days of this ongoing nightmare, (and we ain’t seen nothin’….yet) are coming to their senses.

It wouldn’t surprise me one iota to see even more of these type demonstrations in our streets as this crazyiness multiplies. Joe and Jane six-pack are up to ‘here’ with the crap and mark my words, it won’t take much more for all hell to break loose. So be it.

Be advised all cool-aid drinking, radical moon bats you’d better load up on more than the colored H2o when the s-it hits the fan. Because it’s comin’! Just keep it up. Decent, hard-working, God fearing Americans will only take so much. Check OUR history!

Pssst, Red: this is why we think you’re crazy, and that the Tea Parties are nothing more than a way for the conspiracy theorists to gather ’round and make vaguely threatening references to civil war.

I’m a little conflicted as to whether I should be happy about this or not. On the one hand, it’s hard not to be a tiny bit giddy to watch the Republican Party dissolve into a Glenn Beck-led mob which thinks that the way to win elections is to veer farther to the right. But I do believe in a two-party system, and I think Democrats are better served when we have some rational opponents to butt heads with from time to time, so it is sort of depressing to see the saner members of the party get marginalized like this.

Meh, probably the first one. Carry on.

  5. Frin says:

Ichabod – If its not a tax cut, then what is it? Are you going to stop protesting if you could go back to the mantra of tax cuts for the top 5% of income earners only?

Sergeant Malone – sounds a little like you are advocating for violence there – just because the majority of Americans have a different view about how the country should be run than you. I’m interested, apart from starting the 2nd American Revolution because your favorite toy has been taken from you, do you actually have a viable proposal to solve the current financial problems facing the country? Please note that copying and pasting Bush’s economic policies won’t fly.

Mr Pill, this is exactly why these Tea Parties will be a waste of time. There is NO clear message. There might be some rational points buried deep, but they are going to be swamped by the pseudo warriors and their militias, the white supremacists, the birthers, the people that think Obama is a socialist, the people that think Obama is a facist. And even with all these tag-a-longs, the total numbers are going to be significantly less than the numbers that have turned up to any number of pro-Obama events, such as, say the 2 mill that rolled up to Obama’s inauguration.

  6. Commonsensus says:

To my knowledge as of this date, the Tea Parties sent a clear message.

“To all out there who have forgotten, the right wing is full of elitist, anarchist, racist, and bigoted people. Come join us to connect….l”

  7. “Commonsensus”,

The Tea Parties are full of “Common Sense” Americans.

I have found that those who accuse others of elitism are usually elists themselves.

I have found that those who accuse others of racism are usually racist themselves. Those who automatically assume and accuse that any and all opposition to Obama is due to “racism” are, in fact, racists themselves. They are the ones obsessing on Obama’s “race”, not us.

I have found that those who accuse others of bigotry are usually bigots themselves. Those who automatically assume and accuse that any and all opposition to Romney is due to “bigotry” are, in fact, bigots themselves.

You’re the first that I’ve seen of someone accusing Tea Party goers of being “anarchist”.

The truth is that the overwhelming majority of Tea Party protesters are not any of the things you claim. We desire an honest, open, transparent, return to to limited Constitutional government.

  8. Commonsensus says:

I will post an answer to your post later.
