Speaking of Profiles in Courage, who will be the courageous Representatives and Senators who will stand up and insist that they and their peers honor their oath of office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
Supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States includes supporting and defending the 20th Amendment, which includes the following:
…if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.
Members of Congress have a sworn duty to support and defend ALL of the Constitution, and they have a Constitutional obligation to ensure that the President elect and Vice President elect shall have qualified.
They cannot shirk this responsibility, as each Secretary of State in the 50 states has, without violating their oath of office and being worthy of impeachment.
The presumed President elect has failed to qualify. The Constitution explicitly states:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President
Since no one alive today was a Citizen of the United States in 1787 (the time of the Adoption of the Constitution), this effectively becomes:
No person except a natural born Citizen shall be eligible to the Office of President
What is a natural born Citizen?
Natural-born citizens are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.
Barack Hussein Obama was not born as a natural born citizen of the United States because of the admitted British citizenship that both he and his father had at the time of his birth.
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.
Barack Hussein Obama could have been born in the Oval Office and he is still unqualified to become President of the United States and Commander in Chief of all of our Armed Forces. He is unqualified because he and his father had British citizenship at the time of his birth.
But the fact that so many members of Congress ignore that disqualification, both by assigning a different meaning to “natural born citizen” and by accepting an unverified KOS Kiddie forgery as a “Birth Certificate”, is an absolute travesty of justice.
Who will be the courageous Representatives and Senators who will stand up and insist that they and their peers honor their oath of office and their Constitutional responsibility to ensure the President elect and Vice President elect have qualified to hold the office of President of the United States and Commander in Chief of all of our Armed Forces?
