Pardoning Domestic Terrorists;
Fraunces Tavern is located on the corner of Broad St. and Pearl St., the southern most part of Manhattan, just a couple of blocks from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. I pass it often and whenever I encounter tourists reading the several bronze plaques on the building, I stop and tell them, “Yes, this is where Geo. Washington said goodbye to his troops. It is also the site of a terrorist bombing in 1975 that killed four people. The terrorist organization was the FALN from Puerto Rico. Bill Clinton pardoned the terrorists in the final hours of his presidency.” Here is a nice link to the events by the NYPD.
