Time Reader Question:
Why do the Democrats insist on blocking oil-drilling when we need the price of oil to drop?
Even if they drilled every place [in America], it would not have any impact on the price of oil now. You can’t increase domestic supply only by drilling. You have to invest in renewable-energy resources. That’s all longer term.
How audaciously deceitful!
Here’s some truth:
Show gas prices in 2001, 2006 and 2008. Note the spike (highest) price by DATE. Show President Bush (note the DATE [July 14th, 2008]) announcing that he’s lifting the ban on offshore drilling. Show the price now. Gas has dropped 35 cents (now $3.87/gallon) in Indiana since President Bush made the announcement.

I haven’t yet found a graph starting in 2001, but here is a graph of the last twelve months. Note what happened when President Bush led by example and lifted the Executive Branch ban on offshore drilling:
It’s time for President Bush to exercise his Constitutional authority to convene both Houses of Congress to have them vote on following his lead and lift the drilling ban!
To the best of my knowledge, we are the only country on earth that prevents drilling for its own oil. The Democratic Socialists who want to bring “an Empire to its knees” are trying to use oil as a weapon against the United States of America. They need to be exposed for the Domestic Enemies that they are.
Every member of Congress has taken this oath:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
Senator Joe McCarthy was right, and it is more than time to remove the domestic enemies from our government.
