A Huge, Huge Mistake – Among the Biggest of W’s Presidency

I pray for President Bush to change his mind and veto this bill.

Signing it would be among the biggest mistakes of his Presidency.

UPDATE: Bush signed it.

September 7th UPDATE: Things just got worse…

US Government takes over mortgage giants

And don’t forget the new powers that were given to the Federal Reserve in the wake of the Bear Stearns buyout.  It is absolutely incredible what is going on, and most people are oblivious to it.

The Federal Reserve is preparing to lead us into another Great Depression, just like (as Milton Freidman won the Nobel Prize in Economics for showing that) they led us into the last Great Depression.

Tough times are ahead, regardless of who is the next President of the United States.  But I believe that the choice we make in November will determine whether we remain a Constitutional Republic, or become a Communist “Peoples’ Republic” with a “benevolent dictator”.

Housing rescue bill heads to Bush for signature
Saturday July 26, 11:40 am ET

Bush initially said the proposal was a burdensome bailout for irresponsible borrowers and lenders. But he dropped a threat to veto it this week after Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson argued that the support for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was vital to calming markets in the U.S. and abroad.

I believe Hank Paulson was a Trojan horse.
