Bigoted Anti-Mormon Evangelicals, Part 2

Just as this election cycle has done a lot to expose who the true racists are…hypocrites like Jesse Jackson who are so quick to call others racist…

This election cycle has done a lot to expose who the true bigots are…hypocrites like “Blarg the Destroyer” who are so quick to call others bigots…

By “conservatives” you mean bigots who think that if you don’t worship Jesus the way they do, you don’t belong in the White House, yes?

Ok, can we retire this type of bigoted response already? (Yes, I’m calling YOU out.) I know a lot of strong Christian believers, and Mitt’s religion was NEVER a factor for them.

Many of us DID have concerns about why he flip-flopped on some social issues without any explanation. Just like with McCain, we were worried that he would flip-flop back after we “fulfilled our expected duty” to vote him into office. So, Mitt made us uneasy on the social conservative side.

All the Christians I know, backed other candidates who held longer, consistent social conservative views.

I commend “dominigan” for his/her excellent response.

I personally have seen multiple times more bigotry from Mormons towards Evangelicals than I have seen from Evangelicals towards Mormons. Take a look at the comments to this FoxNews blog post from February 20, 2008. Huckabee supporters had no reason to attack Romney or Mormons, because Romney had already quit the race almost two weeks earlier. Several Mormons, however, felt the need to come out and attack Huckabee and Evangelicals.

Update:

Typical:

Notice how Mitt opted a while back to take the high road throughout the rest of this campaign and Huckabigot is still busy being a baby. I guarantee this won’t go unnoticed by GOP leadership. I’d be willing to bet most Evangelicals don’t even like this guy. He just has his own band of loyalists who are busy attacking Romney when they should be pushing McCain. I would NEVER vote for a fraud like Huckabee!

  1. Tim says:

Mormons have more bigotry than evangelicals??? Pardon me while I barf! This country was based on religous freedom something that evangelicals have completely forgotten. You spend all your time criticizing every religion but yours. Your dinosaurs that have forgotten what Christianity is all about. Too caught up in your own self serving worlds too stumble your way into the nearest tar pit. Do us all a favor… Stumble into one or two!

  2. Tim, (who is not the same Tim as in comments in earlier posts)
You said, “Pardon me while I barf!”

I wholeheartedly believe in religious freedom, and I love you.
