About

ITookTheRedPill is a reference to the movie The Matrix as well as both a blue-state/red-state analogy and, most importantly, a reference to seeking and finding the truth.

I was born and raised in a very liberal blue-state Democrat family.

At 18 I left home and went to a well-known (and fairly liberal) university in a red-state. My alma mater, like many of America’s great universities, was founded by Christians to raise up Christian leaders and glorify Jesus Christ, but the university was later taken over by Secular Progressives who subverted the founder’s original intent and made “liberal education” the primary goal. It’s no surprise that coming from a liberal upbringing, and attending a (now) liberal college, I was very liberal throughout college.

I had to associate with successful Christian businessmen before I took the red pill, accepted Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of his blood for me, understood the truth, and understood the Matrix called the world we live in.

At 23, I took the red pill. I confessed with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believed in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and I was saved.

I now know the truth, and knowing the truth has set me free.

Jesus is Lord!

I asked God to fill me with His Holy Spirit and as I started praying and reading the Bible, more and more truth has been revealed to me.

My political conversion was a direct result of my spiritual conversion (taking the Red Pill and learning the truth), so I guess you could call me a “Neo” Conservative. :-) Learning God’s truth took me from liberal Democrat to conservative Republican. That is why the Democrats (most of them being Demoncratic Socialist Communists) can’t stand born-again Christians. In fact, they have a clearly stated goal of “Defeating the Ultra-Right“). Our evangelism threatens them. (A noteworthy example: they can’t stand that “Jane Roe” of the Roe v. Wade case has been born-again and is seeking to overturn that case. She is telling the truth about the deception that was used to influence that court decision.)

Hillary Clinton once mentioned a “Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy”. Many people laughed. Unfortunately, there really is a “Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy”, and they want to replace the Constitution of the United States with this Communist constitution.

I guess the successful Christian businessmen who introduced me to Jesus Christ are what Hillary was referring to as the “Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy”…

If so, count me in. Proud, card-carrying member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.

    Hi Red Pill:

I have had a few interactions with you on Hot Air but I don’t know if you remember my nic, Mormon Doc. I am an author and have just published a book entitled Soul Survivor. I am hosting a contest to give away 5 signed copies of the book and I want to invite you to participate. There is a summary of the book on my site and NO purchase is required to be eligible.

The reason I am doing this is to increase awareness of my book before it goes up on Amazon next month. The more important reason is that I believe the book has the potential to help people.

Please visit my website to see the contest rules (which are simple) and remember that this does not require any purchase. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Warm regards,

    James Ballou

    James Ballou (Mormon Doc),
Please clarify your views on polygamy.

  3. James Ballou Says:

My personal view on polygamy is that it is not something that I would not want to be part of and that my Church does not support. I belong to the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) and we have not practiced polygamy for more than 100 years. However, there have been conditions in the history of my faith that polygamy was practiced and if it was still practiced it would not change my view of the Church. The reason for this is due to the way I was converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ (a wholly different subject). Therefore my view is that I personally want nothing to do with the practice but I would support the practice if it was given by God through a living prophet. Let me know if you want me to elaborate on any of these subjects.

    James,
Thank you for responding. I’m still left a little confused by how you said it is “not something that I would not want to be part of”. Did you mean to put that first “not” there? (I’m guessing no, based on the context of the rest of your comment).

Good luck with your book. I will not be entering your contest, as I don’t want to reveal my identity. Thanks for the offer, though.
