Who Said It?

Who said:

Remember, we want them broken, their ranks thinned, their treasury in heavy debt, their morale in the gutter, void of any leadership, discredited in the eyes of the public.

Was it Rush Limbaugh?
Was it Sarah Palin?
Was it Glenn Beck?
Was it Ann Coulter?

Was it any conservative “icon” who has been vilified by the MSM (Marxist, Socialist Media)?

  1. AnotherPerspective says:

That quote is too tame to come from the lips of the conservative right.

”We need to execute people like (John Walker Lindh) in order to physically intimidate liberals.”
    —Ann Coulter

”If Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we’re not going to do anything about it. We’re going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.”’
    —Bill O’Reilly

”My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building.”
    —Ann Coulter

”I just wish Katrina had only hit the United Nations building, nothing else, just had flooded them out, and I wouldn’t have rescued them.”
    —Bill O’Reilly

”I’m thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. … No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out.”
    —Glenn Beck

  2. If those quotes are real and were broadcast on either radio or TV, then there should be YouTube clips of them.

Please provide links to either YouTube clips of those people saying those things in their own voice, or links to their own web sites showing those quotes in written form.

Without primary source evidence, I have no reason to believe you.

Ann Coulter makes her living saying abrasive things, so the quotes you attribute to her are the easiest for me to believe without evidence.

For the record, I do not condone violence unless it is done in self-defense.

And I think that murder of innocent people is the epitome of violent evil.

Yet somehow I suspect that you support that…

  3. … in the form of abortion.

  4. Math says:

It’s amazing how you can pull out the most obscure quote when it helps your cause, yet can’t be bothered to copy paste a phrase in Google and click the first link that comes up when it may hurt your case. Confirmation bias, I think Ryan called it.

I didn’t bother to look up the Coulter quotes since you seem willing to take them at face value. And I couldn’t find an audio clip of the Beck quote, but it happened on May 17th 2005, if you want to bother looking that up.

  5. The Beck quote is the one that I did copy and paste into Google. The links that came back were all from left-wing sites, and all were just text there… no actual audio or video of him saying that. So…. it’s urban legend until you can prove he actually said that.

  6. AnotherPerspective says:

  7. Kudos to you for actually providing a YouTube clip, as I requested, so that we can hear it first-hand and make our own judgment.

I think it is clear that Beck is NOT condoning violence here… he is MOCKING that threatening behavior, not endorsing it.

Now, compare what Glenn Beck said tongue-in-cheek, to what this Imam is saying in utter seriousness:

Muslim cleric calls for beheading of Dutch politician…

  8. skeeter says:

“I’m thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. … No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus — band — Do, and I’ve lost all sense of right and wrong now. I USED TO BE ABLE TO SAY, ‘Yeah, I’d kill Michael Moore,’ and then I’d see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I’d realize, ‘Oh, you wouldn’t kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn’t choke him to death.’ And you know, well, I’m not sure.” –responding to the question “What would people do for $50 million?”, “The Glenn Beck Program,” May 17, 2005
—-passively trailing off with “and you know, well, Im not sure” in response to the question “What would PEOPLE do for $50 million?” The man who knowingly takes text OUT OF CONTEXT is essentially a liar.

I will post the source later

  9. Math says:

Thanks AnotherPerspective, I google the phrase but didn’t think to try Youtube.

I think it is clear that Beck is NOT condoning violence here… he is MOCKING that threatening behavior, not endorsing it.

So you nitpick everything a liberal says and make a big deal with an hyphen (natural-born vs. natural born if I remember correctly), but when a right winger says something like that, you suddenly find a way to interpret it and go beyond what the literal meaning of the words are?

Confirmation bias? Just look at how you thank and welcome with open arms everyone who posts a comment that agrees with you. When’s the last time you thanked me, AnotherPerspective, or whoever else that disagreed with you that you didn’t ban yet, for a comment?

Now, compare what Glenn Beck said tongue-in-cheek, to what this Imam is saying in utter seriousness:

Again with the “they do it so we can do it” defense. An extremist muslim cleric makes a death threat, so that suddenly makes it OK for everyone else to do it? I guess it would be OK for Beck to kill Moore too. Hey Charles Manson did it, so I guess it’s OK.

  10. Math says:

The man who knowingly takes text OUT OF CONTEXT is essentially a liar.

The irony of this, coming from the right wing, is astounding.

in response to the question “What would PEOPLE do for $50 million?”

And what does that change? It just shows how much he’d be willing to pay to have Michael Moore killed. If anything, it makes him look worse.

  11. skeeter says:

The irony of this is the fact I was a democrat for 50 years, until the party crossed over into socialism 100%.

Glen Beck was responding to the question in regards to what some people would do for $50 mil. He sets up the scenario –A synthetic description of an event and inserts himself as the main actor–

The reason you can’t understand is because you left out part of the context. In court the act of omission by a witness is called perjury. You can go to jail for lieing just the same as you can for stealing.

Now what did abortion and an Australian Muslim cleric have to do with anything again?

  13. Now what did abortion and an Australian Muslim cleric have to do with anything again?

    Condoning murder.

    In utter seriousness.

As contrasted with your spurious accusation that Glenn Beck was condoning murder.

  14. skeeter says:

    YES!!!!

  15. Speaking of Muslim clerics…

“Mullah Barack Hussain Obama … Caliph of Muslims”

Now, why would Muslims think that Obama is a Muslim?

Perhaps because Barack Hussein Obama “took Shahada”.

  16. skeeter says:

If being a Muslim was a crime, Obama would be convicted on circumstantial evidence. All the evidence of Obama’s Muslim religion is Prima Facia.

  17. skeeter says:

Obama has left his fingerprints in all his Muslim comments–Obama is a muslim unless one views Black Liberation Theology as a pervasion of Christanity. In Black Liberation Theology there is only the oppressors and the oppressed. Now consider: The Oppressed Illegal Aliens. The oppressed Black People. The Oppressed American Muslim. What is Obama? He is a disciple of the oppressed. Obama is a lobbyist for the Muslim, the Illegal Alien, the black African American. Obama’s Kenyan father was a Muslim, his Indonesian step-father was a Muslim, and to Obama the Muslim evening call to prayer was the most beautiful sound on earth.

  18. skeeter says:

sorry for the misspelled words. I sort of get carried away.

  19. skeeter says:

It was obvious the other two were only quoting sources that omitted the facts. Let them forever remain ignorant. This may be a lefty with a wee bit of honesty.

    Speaking of Muslim clerics…

“Mullah Barack Hussain Obama … Caliph of Muslims”

Perhaps because Barack Hussein Obama “took Shahada”.

So when a loonie on the right says something crazy, he’s mocking, not endorsing. But when a Muslim loonie says something crazy, that’s cash to the bank? Confirmation bias?

And when did you become an Imam to be so versed in the Islamic culture and religion, and have the authority to declare who is a Muslim and who’s not? I’m not sure Jesus will like that come judgment day.

So Obama quotes the Islamic call to prayer and that makes him a Muslim. And when he actually talks about his beliefs and proclaims he’s a Christian, he’s doing Al Takeyya, and it doesn’t count anyways because he didn’t use the word Lord. Can’t you see how ridiculous that is? There is absolutely nothing the man can say about his Christianity that you will not attribute to Al Takeyya because of your confirmation bias that he’s a Muslim.

Except confirming what we were saying about Beck, is there a point to that post and link?

  22. skeeter,

I was raised in a blue-state Democrat family, and began my voting life as a Democrat. I’ve shared my story of political conversion on my “About” page. That was a number of years ago for me, but on the web I’ve “met” several former lifelong Democrats who realized in either 2008 or 2009 that the Democrat Party is now the Democratic Socialist Party. You appear to be one of them:

The irony of this is the fact I was a democrat for 50 years, until the party crossed over into socialism 100%.

You are not alone. Some “PUMA”s were converted by the corruption they witnessed in the 2008 Democrat[ic Socialist] Party primaries and caucuses. Others were converted by the corruption they witnessed in the process of forcing “Obamacare” upon an electorate that didn’t want it.

Would you care to share your story? What led to your “awakening”?

  23. So Obama quotes the Islamic call to prayer and that makes him a Muslim.

Don’t take my word for it.

A single honest recitation of the Shahadah in Arabic is all that is required for a person to become a Muslim. A conversion to Islam is meant to be a one-way process, both for the individual and their descendants.

Abdullah Ahmed An-Na’im. “The Islamic Law of Apostasy and Its Modern Applicability: A Case from the Sudan.” Religion (1986) p. 211.

  24. Math says:

A single honest recitation of the Shahadah in Arabic is all that is required for a person to become a Muslim.

I guess that depends on your definition of honest recitation. If you talked to one of your friend and told him “Obama is a Muslim because he said …” would that make you a muslim?

Also does it matter what others think? Isn’t religion a personal matter between an individual andthe deity of their choice?

  25. skeeter says:

    Mr redpill
My “Awakening, my conversion” was mostly due to the history of Bill Clinton’s wife. I am of the opinion that anyone who marries and lives with a mate for any length of time must have some things in common with each other. Even though I voted for Bill Clinton, I later regretted that I did. After the election it became obvious (to me leastwise) Hillary was at least a borderline socialist. So what was Bill? Just as Obama was comfortable with Rev Wright for 20 years, Bill was comfortable with Hillary, and she was satisfied to put up with his sorry (sordid) lifestyle, so what did that speak of her? Power, she wanted the status and power, the opportunity to try and transform the American Republic to a socialist America.
Then it dawned on me, the once Democratic Party had flipped, it was now the democrat socialist Party. These were the very people my old uncles and older cousins had fought against in wars, even myself in the 1950s-60s.

I voted for John McCain in the last election, even though I didn’t think he would be a good president, but at least he wasn’t a socialist which is only a corruption of the word “Communist”.

Now, before the people who takes things out of context begin their “racist” rant let me say, I was ready to vote for Colin Powell –BEFORE Colin Powell lied for GW Bush in the runup to the Iraq invasion. To me racism is a matter for the racists and I am not one of them. I believe in live and let live and equal rights for all [Americans] and all people worldwide. From the last presidential election forward I will never vote for a democrat again.

  26. skeeter says:

rp, I have put your “my’about'” page in my favorites. I have to read it over a few times.

I should explain about a comment on the other site you created, “we the people—“. There was a post about Holder removing the American flag and other changes he had made in the Department of Justice [buildings].

I placed a comment quoting a clansman, not for the benefiet of any racial organization. It was meant to be a contrast in where Obama and Holder came from and where America has been and where Obama and Holder is taking America TODAY– back to the stone age. What the clansman had written was an historical fact, a truth, even though he was a clansman. Then I asked “Could the Industrial Revolution have begin in Africa”? I answered my own question by saying, “THEY HAVEN’T YET, They are still trying to learn how to drill a water well”.

Anyway I feel bad about the other site thinking I am a racist member of the KKK. It is similiar to the Beck incident about killing Moore. I am sorry that I left the wrong impression. The refference to the Lincoln/Douglas debates, I think were prophetic to what we are witnessing today. Anyway I hope you accept my appologies for any harm I may have done.

  27. The reason we left the Democrat Party and have committed to actively working against this man, and our former party, in all he is doing to this country is because what he is doing to America is wrong…is not helping anyone…and is deliberately engineering to try to tank our economy to render us a prostrate socialist dystopia like the mess that Europe’s degenerated into. We knew who Obama was before the nation did, because we live in Chicago. We knew about all the communists and radicals he filled his home with, whom he considered his teachers and mentors. We know what the University of Chicago/Hyde Park crowd is like, and what a strange, rarefied, claustrophobic little fantasy cloister they live in. We fully realize what sort of woman Michelle Antoinette is, where her resentment and hatred of America comes from, and why a man like Obama needed her to solidify his street cred and open doors for him politically.

As much as most Americans hate to admit they are wrong, more and more each day are realizing that the bill of goods the state media sold them in 2008 was a fraud. The Obamas are not good people. The Obamas do not love this country. The Obamas fancy themselves to be a form of entitled royalty, heavy on the “do as I say, not as I do” and hectoring about a million-and-one imagined grievances…coming from two people who have been handed everything they ever wanted in life. Largely because of their skin color.

I may not live in Chicago, but I too knew who Obama was before the nation did. The March 2008 speech that the MSM called an “important speech on race” was not about ending racism. Quite to the contrary, it was about stoking black racism and using racism to achieve Communist goals:

    Obama Nation:
Using Racism In Order To Form A More Socialist Union

  29. Ga Peach says:

Skeeter: Please do not feel bad about your comments at wtpotus a few days ago. The thought that you might be a racist never crossed my mind. I have read many of your comments here at RP and others at We. I totally understood why you referenced those remarks made many many years ago; and it is very sad that the people of that Nation are not more able to care for themselves at this point in time.

I am not able to speak as eloquently as our dear and faithful servant RedPill and you, Skeeter; but…..I am very proud to know that you are here to bring inspiration, knowledge of our Saviour, and the patriotism that brings the USA together to unite US once again to the greatest Nation in the world….no matter how hard the ones who seek to destroy our foundation….it gives myself and others comfort knowing that both of you stand up against these instigators and unbelievers !!! Thanks for all you do !!!!

God Bless You and Yours Always !

  30. GA Peach,

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement.

May God bless you and your family, too!

  31. skeeter says:

Thank you, Ga Peach. Yes it is sad the people of that nation are so poverty stricken and there is so much sickness. Then I think of the father of our president who was a part of the government of one of the nations of that continent. Yet, even though Obama Sr had the opportunity, he doesn’t seem to have left any evidence of accomplishments that were beneificial to any of those poor people. Seems the addage “like father like son” is applicable. All the political accomplishments of president Obama seems to have benefeited only Michelle and himself.
